Definition
What corresponds to the actual operating-conditions of the field. Truth in Netist usage is structurally distinct from belief (which is what the practitioner holds) and from fact (which is the surface-level correspondence with measurable reality); truth is the deeper-level correspondence with the operating-principles the cosmos actually runs on.
Literal meaning
Correspondence with the operating-reality. Truth in Netist usage names what is actually the case at the structural-operating level. A statement can be factually-correct at the surface and still be untrue at the deeper-structural level if it misreads the operating-principles; a statement can be factually-imprecise and still be true at the deeper level if it correctly articulates the structure.
Esoteric meaning
Truth is structurally bound to Maʿat (the equilibrium-measure) and to the Pillar *Net-Heru* (Resonance). A truthful statement carries clean-resonance through the Net; an untruthful statement carries dissonance regardless of whether the speaker is aware of the dissonance. This is the structural reason that *a word spoken in truth resonates one way; a word spoken to deceive echoes differently*: the resonance-difference is real and field-detectable, not merely metaphorical.
Allegorical meaning
The shape of a key that fits a specific lock: many keys can be cut, only the key that matches the lock's exact shape will open the door, and the truth of the key is the matching rather than the cutting.
Extended meaning
Truth in Netist work operates at multiple scales. At the personal scale, truthfulness is the practice of speaking-and-acting in correspondence with the practitioner's actual field-state rather than performing a state the practitioner does not occupy. At the relational scale, truthfulness is the operating-condition of relational-thread-clean: lies and deceptions knot the threads, while truthful exchange flows clean. At the structural scale, the canonical material's truthfulness is its correspondence with the operating-principles of the cosmos rather than its rhetorical-effectiveness; the voice rules of Netism's public articulation are in part the discipline of maintaining truth at this scale. The Pillar *Maʿat* names the equilibrium-measure under which truth is weighed; in the Egyptian funerary tradition, the heart of the deceased was weighed against the feather of Maʿat at the Hall of Two Truths to determine the soul's progression. The Netist treatment preserves the structural-truthfulness emphasis while removing the figural-judgment scaffolding. The 9 Points integrate truth implicitly through Unity (recognition of shared essence requires truthful relating), Minimize Harm (truthfulness reduces relational damage), and Education and Collaboration (truthful exchange is the operating-condition of effective shared-learning).

Ritual usage
The Rite of Entry's vow includes truth-keeping at the spiritual-name level: the initiate vows to keep the spiritual name sacred and to use it within Netism only. The broader ceremonial work assumes truthful engagement from participants.
