Volunteer role
Social Media Manager
A steward who carries Netism's voice across social platforms so seekers can find the tradition and stay connected to it.
Social media is how most people first meet Netism. A steady, thoughtful presence on these platforms brings new seekers to the tradition and keeps the growing community connected between visits to the site. The Social Media Manager holds that presence. The consistency you bring, the tone you set, and the care you show each follower shape whether a stranger scrolling past decides to look closer and stay. This work reaches people in real lives, at the exact moment they are searching.
What you would do
- Manage and post to Netism’s social media accounts.
- Create and schedule posts.
- Engage with followers and answer what they bring.
- Share new articles, podcast episodes, and videos as they publish.
- Develop a content calendar that keeps the presence steady and coherent.
- Track growth and engagement, and let what you learn guide the next round.
What you bring
You bring a real feel for how each platform works and how people move through it. You post consistently, because rhythm is what builds an audience, and you can hold that rhythm across weeks without losing steam. Your voice stays warm and true to the teachings, so followers sense a person behind the account rather than a broadcast. You read engagement data with a clear eye and adjust what you do based on it. Familiarity with the tradition helps, since the work involves carrying its ideas faithfully into a fast, public space. A dependable presence matters most. The community needs someone it can count on to show up week after week.
How to express interest
This is a volunteer position. Netism is a nonprofit spiritual organization, and no one here draws a salary. We cover all expenses tied to the role. Your time creates real impact in real lives, and it carries forward the work of changing how humanity relates to itself, to the earth, and to the sacred.
If this calls to you, tell us through the collaborator application. We read every one, and we will reach out to talk.
