Volunteer role

Outreach Representative and Festival Ambassador

Carry Netism into public life, meeting people face to face at festivals and community events.

Netism reaches people beyond the internet. Real connection happens face to face, in the moment when a stranger stops at a booth and asks what all of this is about. This role belongs to a warm, grounded person who can hold that moment well and turn it into a genuine human connection. Every conversation at a festival or public event brings the tradition into someone’s actual life, and that is where it takes root.

What you would do

  • Staff a Netism booth at public events.
  • Talk with people about Netism in a natural, unforced way.
  • Hand out materials and collect email signups.
  • Represent the values of the organization accurately.
  • Report back on how each event went.

What you bring

You are warm and grounded, and you put people at ease. Speaking about Netism comes naturally to you, without a script that sounds like a pitch, and its values stay faithful in your telling to whoever stops by. Tracking what happens at an event and reporting it back clearly rounds out the work. Outreach representatives sign an Outreach Agreement and receive a talking points card and training, so you do not walk in cold. For your first events, leadership attends alongside you.

How to express interest

This is a volunteer position. Netism is a nonprofit spiritual organization, and no one here is paid. We cover every role-related expense: booth fees, event tickets, travel, lodging, materials, display equipment, and food. We cover your way in. Your time creates real impact in real lives, and this is the work of changing how humanity relates to itself, to the earth, and to the sacred.

If this stewardship calls to you, tell us through the collaborator application.
