Researching off-grid living and doing it are two separate things. This role belongs to someone who is already living it and can create content drawn from reality rather than theory. The community needs an honest account of what self-reliance actually asks of a person, because that honesty is what serves seekers who want to change how they live on the earth. Your credibility grows from your mud-stained boots, and it is exactly that grounded truth this work is built on.

What you would do

• Write articles and create YouTube videos that document real off-grid living.
• Cover daily routines, system maintenance, seasonal challenges, and practical solutions.
• Show the builds, repairs, upgrades, and the failures too. All of it.
• Teach practical skills: food preservation, water treatment, solar maintenance, and composting.
• Address costs, difficulties, and trade-offs honestly.

What you bring

The internet is full of off-grid fantasy content, beautiful cabins with no mention of the septic system. This work needs the real thing. You bring firsthand experience of a life lived off the grid, and the willingness to show its hard parts alongside its rewards. You value candor over polish, and you can teach a skill clearly so that someone else can follow it. This is a volunteer role, unpaid stewardship of the tradition, so it asks for a steady commitment of your time and a genuine wish to help others live more self-reliantly.
