Volunteer role
Nonprofit Resource Development Coordinator
Secure the materials, tools, and services the work needs through in-kind giving and partnership.
Much of what the work needs comes as goods and services rather than cash. Building materials, tools, seeds, equipment, printing, software, and professional services can all be secured through in-kind donations, corporate partnerships, and surplus programs. This role belongs to the person who knows how to find those resources and bring them in. Every gift sourced this way frees money for the programs that touch real lives, and it keeps a donation-supported tradition supplied and moving.
What you would do
- Identify and approach businesses for in-kind donations.
- Build relationships with other nonprofits for resource sharing.
- Research and apply for surplus property programs.
- Coordinate donation drives for specific project needs.
- Maintain a resource inventory and a donor relationship list.
What you bring
You are comfortable making the ask, and you can open a conversation with a business or a fellow nonprofit and turn it into a lasting relationship. You know how to research surplus and gift-in-kind programs and follow their application processes to the end. Organization comes naturally to you, enough to track an inventory of materials and a growing list of donors without losing a thread. You care about the mission and can speak to it honestly when you ask someone to give.
How to express interest
This is a volunteer position. Netism is a nonprofit spiritual organization, and no one here is paid. We cover all role-related expenses. Your time creates real impact in real lives, and this is the work of changing how humanity relates to itself, to the earth, and to the sacred.
If this stewardship calls to you, tell us through the collaborator application.
