Volunteer role
Grant Writer and Research Specialist
Find and secure the funding that keeps a donation-supported tradition alive and growing.
Netism runs on donations and volunteer labor. The work of the tradition reaches people, land, and community, and that reach costs money. Grants exist for religious nonprofits, sustainable agriculture, community development, education, and mental health support. This role belongs to the person who knows how to find those grants and secure them. Every dollar brought in becomes a program that touches a real life.
What you would do
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government programs, and religious funding bodies.
- Write and submit grant applications.
- Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance.
- Work with leadership to develop project budgets and program descriptions.
- Maintain a pipeline of upcoming opportunities.
What you bring
You understand the grant landscape and how funders think. Your writing is clear and persuasive, and you can turn a program idea into a case a foundation wants to fund. Enough organization lives in you to hold many deadlines and reporting requirements at once without losing track. You care about the mission and can speak to it honestly in an application. Comfort working alongside leadership on budgets and program descriptions matters here.
How to express interest
This is a volunteer position. Netism is a nonprofit spiritual organization, and no one here is paid. We cover all role-related expenses. Your time creates real impact in real lives, and this is the work of changing how humanity relates to itself, to the earth, and to the sacred.
If this stewardship calls to you, tell us through the collaborator application.
