The following bylaws serve as the foundational structure for the organization of Netism, a legally recognized religious and philosophical body dedicated to the spiritual, educational, ecological, and communal advancement of humanity. These bylaws are not merely administrative—they are reflections of the living current of Netism itself: a movement rooted in unity, balance, free will, and collective evolution.
Netism is not a religion in the traditional sense. It holds no rigid doctrine, no named deity, and no hierarchical clergy. It exists as a spiritual framework, a philosophical path, and a communal ecosystem guided by the 9 Points of Netism. These principles—such as environmental stewardship, harm reduction, community, and philanthropy—inform every aspect of governance, practice, and growth within the organization.
These bylaws enshrine the rights, responsibilities, and ethical standards by which all members, leaders, communities, and projects shall operate. They are both a legal safeguard and a spiritual compass, ensuring that the mission of Netism remains true to its essence as it grows and evolves across time and place.
Every article herein is to be read not only as law but as a living expression of the values that bind the Netist community. They are offered in service to transparency, accountability, harmony, and conscious creation.
ARTICLE I: NAME AND PURPOSE
The organization shall officially be known as Netism.
Netism reserves all rights afforded under religious freedom laws, including but not limited to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and all applicable state and federal protections. These rights ensure the freedom to practice, organize, communicate, and structure its communities in alignment with its foundational principles.
Netism is legally established as a religion and recognized as such by state and federal authorities for legal and organizational purposes. However, the use of the word “religion” is strictly functional and does not imply adherence to dogma, clerical hierarchy, or traditional religious practices. Netism does not promote rigid doctrines or systems of worship. Instead, it encourages free inquiry, experiential understanding, and personal alignment with its core principles.
Netism exists exclusively for educational, spiritual, philosophical, charitable, pastoral counseling, scientific research, and community-building purposes. It operates as a living framework designed to foster holistic well-being and collective growth, guided explicitly by the comprehensive principles outlined in the “9 Points of Netism.” These principles form the ethical and structural foundation of the organization and apply to all of its operations, initiatives, and member activities.
Netism aims to foster human transformation, consciousness evolution, and sustainable community development.
- Unity:
Netism emphasizes interconnectedness and harmony among all individuals and communities, promoting practices that strengthen relationships, encourage open communication, and facilitate collective decision-making. Unity guides the organization in creating spaces for mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation, enhancing social cohesion and collaboration. - Balance:
Balance within Netism refers to consciously maintaining harmony between spiritual growth, ecological sustainability, and societal responsibilities. Organizational policies and community practices consistently reflect this equilibrium, ensuring that no single aspect overshadows another, fostering a holistic approach to living and operating. - Collective Evolution:
Netism supports ongoing personal and communal development by encouraging continual learning, introspection, and growth. It actively facilitates educational programs, mentorship, and community engagement, empowering members to evolve individually while contributing positively to collective consciousness. - Minimize Harm:
The principle of minimizing harm permeates every activity within Netism. The organization commits itself to ethical considerations, ensuring its operations, decisions, and interactions reduce or eliminate harm—physically, emotionally, environmentally, or spiritually—to people, animals, ecosystems, and society at large. - Environmental Stewardship:
Recognizing the interdependence between humanity and the natural world, Netism prioritizes sustainability, conservation, and ecological responsibility. The organization promotes responsible management of natural resources, practices sustainable living, and actively participates in environmental restoration and preservation initiatives. - Education and Collaboration:
Netism fosters a robust culture of learning and cooperative inquiry. It regularly develops and hosts educational workshops, seminars, research projects, and community collaborations, creating opportunities for shared knowledge, innovation, and collective problem-solving. This principle encourages mutual growth, creativity, and community empowerment. - Spirituality:
Spirituality within Netism is rooted in cultivating inner awareness, personal meaning, and interconnectedness without adherence to dogmatic practices or worship. The organization integrates spiritual principles into all activities, especially in pastoral counseling and community-building, nurturing holistic well-being, emotional intelligence, compassion, mindfulness, and conscious living. - Community:
Netism emphasizes building inclusive, resilient, and nurturing communities. It actively establishes communal spaces and facilities, enabling individuals and groups to flourish collectively. These communities embody Netism’s core principles, supporting members through shared resources, collaborative projects, collective decision-making, and mutual care. - Philanthropy:
Aligned with its ethical principles, Netism actively engages in charitable endeavors aimed at addressing societal, environmental, and spiritual needs. It encourages responsible generosity, ethical fundraising, and resource allocation to support projects and initiatives consistent with Netism’s values, positively impacting broader society and uplifting those in need.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
Netism explicitly supports the dignity, rights, and full inclusion of LGBTQ individuals within all levels of its community. Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression is strictly prohibited. LGBTQ members are welcomed, affirmed, and empowered to participate equally in leadership, education, counseling, and community life.
Membership is open to individuals aligned with the 9 Points of Netism and shall be inclusive and respectful of all people.
Members actively support Netism’s mission through participation and ethical behavior. Ethical behavior includes but is not limited to honesty, integrity, transparency, respect for individual autonomy and community values, compassion, environmental consciousness, responsibility in interactions and activities, and adherence to the 9 Points of Netism. Members agree to engage with others respectfully, foster community harmony, act responsibly with organizational resources, and uphold Netism’s reputation through personal and professional conduct.
ARTICLE III: BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board consists of 3-11 members elected by general membership, serving as administrative leaders, governed by Netism’s philosophical principles.
The Board of Directors of Netism shall serve as guardians and facilitators, not rulers, of the organization. Their purpose is to uphold and protect the vision, values, and current of Netism—not to control it.
The Board operates under the higher spiritual principles of Netism and acknowledges that it is subject to the deeper energetic and philosophical framework established by the Nine Points and the overarching spiritual current known within the tradition. While the word “Board” is a legal construct for organizational necessity, its members function in service—not sovereignty. Their role is administrative and logistical, not doctrinal or authoritative.
Free will is the chief law of Netism, and the Board shall act only to support the flourishing of this principle in communities, research, education, and spiritual service. It may not interpret, redefine, or override Netist teachings to suit personal or political aims.
Limitations of Authority
-
No Power to Dissolve
The Board does not possess the authority to dissolve, absorb, privatize, or redirect the mission of Netism. The Organization is considered a perpetual spiritual current, existing independently of its directors. -
No Ownership of Works
All intellectual property—books, art, research, rituals, liturgy, media, or otherwise—produced within or for Netism belongs collectively to the organization. Individual creators may be acknowledged and celebrated, but the ownership remains with Netism as an entity.
No Board member, past or present, may lay claim to Netism’s name, symbol, works, or assets as personal property. -
Stewardship, Not Control
The Board exists to provide structure, maintain legal compliance, support organizational growth, and ensure the ethical management of resources. It shall act in service to the communities, teachers, researchers, and spiritual guides within the Netist path. -
Spiritual Primacy Clause
While Netism recognizes no external deity, it acknowledges a cosmic intelligence or current known in internal writings and sacred metaphor as Atūm, the emergent, animating principle behind all form. While not worshipped, this spiritual ideal serves as a symbolic compass.
In principle, this “Higher Force” holds ultimate symbolic authority, reminding the Board that they serve something larger than themselves and are accountable to the living philosophy, not merely its administrative shell. -
Public Role, Private Submission
Board members may serve as the public face of the organization for legal and media purposes, but internally they remain humble servants of the teachings and communities. They may not elevate themselves to guru-like status, nor foster cults of personality or hierarchical dominance. -
Accountability and Rotation
Board members are subject to regular review by the wider body of Netist communities and councils. Term limits, ethical reviews, and community feedback are built into the structure to prevent stagnation or abuse of position.
Officers include Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, each with clearly defined roles for governance and management. These roles are established to ensure that the organization operates effectively, ethically, and in alignment with the 9 Points of Netism.
- Chair: Serves as the principal leader and public representative of Netism. The Chair presides over board meetings, facilitates strategic planning, ensures the enforcement of bylaws, and provides oversight for all official operations and community guidance.
- Vice-Chair: Assists the Chair in executing responsibilities and assumes leadership duties in their absence. The Vice-Chair also supports internal coordination between departments and committees, ensuring continuity and alignment across all activities.
- Secretary: Maintains accurate records of all meetings, resolutions, and official documents. The Secretary manages organizational correspondence, ensures transparency, and maintains compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Treasurer: Oversees the financial health of Netism. The Treasurer is responsible for budget preparation, financial reporting, proper stewardship of funds, and compliance with federal and state financial regulations. The Treasurer ensures that all financial activity adheres to the 9 Points of Netism.
ARTICLE IV: FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
Netism shall publish a comprehensive annual financial report, including all income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and budget allocations. This report must be made available to all members and the broader public to promote trust and accountability. Periodic audits or third-party financial reviews may be conducted to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
All organizational income—whether derived from donations, sales, services, investments, or other legal channels—shall be allocated according to the ethical and spiritual mission of Netism. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Education and research
- Community development and housing
- Environmental initiatives
- Pastoral counseling and healing work
- Technological and infrastructural support
- Inter-communal assistance
Funds shall never be directed toward activities or individuals that conflict with the values or mission of Netism.
Members providing services to Netism—including administrative, educational, therapeutic, or logistical contributions—shall be compensated fairly and in accordance with applicable federal and state labor laws. Compensation shall be reasonable, equitable, and proportionate to the service provided. No member may use Netist funds for personal enrichment or unauthorized benefit.
All donations must be received transparently and in good faith. Donors may request that contributions support particular programs, but Netism reserves the right to decline or reassign funding if the proposed use contradicts the spiritual or ethical direction of the organization. Donations shall never grant special status, titles, or influence over doctrine or governance.
A portion of annual funds shall be designated for investment into local Netist communities. This may include infrastructure, health and wellness initiatives, land cultivation, resource-sharing systems, regenerative practices, and cultural development. All community investments must be tracked, justified, and reported annually.
Misuse or misappropriation of funds will result in immediate investigation and, if necessary, removal from leadership positions. Legal action may be taken in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policy. Whistleblowers and financial transparency advocates shall be protected and encouraged within the organization.
Assets owned by Netism—including land, livestock, intellectual property, buildings, and digital infrastructure, shall be maintained in a way that ensures long-term sustainability. No property shall be sold, transferred, or liquidated without supermajority approval from the Board and full transparency with the community affected.
ARTICLE V: PASTORAL COUNSELING
Pastoral counseling, termed as such for legal purposes, represents a sacred act of service to Netist communities. It is not rooted in religious doctrine, but rather in the values of deep presence, intuitive care, and spiritual support. Counseling in Netism honors the full spectrum of human experience—mind, body, spirit, and community.
Netist counselors do not direct others through rigid ideology. Instead, they serve as space holders, companions, and guides for individuals navigating personal growth, transformation, and healing. Sessions may include open dialogue, meditation, breathwork, energetic practices, or ceremonial processes, all of which must align with the 9 Points of Netism.
The purpose of counseling is to help individuals reconnect to their own inner wisdom, release trauma, gain clarity, and harmonize their relationships with self, others, and the wider field of life. Counselors must be committed to humility, active listening, non-judgment, and ongoing self-awareness.
Key Principles of Netist Counseling Include:
-
Absolute respect for individual sovereignty and free will
-
Confidentiality and ethical boundaries at all times
-
Zero imposition of belief, hierarchy, or authority over others
-
Voluntary participation and informed consent
-
Accessibility and respect for all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences
All Netist counselors are expected to engage in continual training, community accountability, and spiritual refinement. Counseling must comply with all local and federal regulations governing pastoral and spiritual care. These offerings are considered extensions of communal stewardship—not professional therapy or medical services—and must be clearly represented as such in all communications.
ARTICLE VI: RESEARCH INITIATIVES
Netism is committed to advancing the frontiers of both scientific and metaphysical understanding. Research conducted or sponsored by Netism shall focus on, but not be limited to, areas such as consciousness studies, physics, metaphysics, bioenergetics, neurospirituality, ancient history, sacred geometry, comparative cosmology, plant medicine, and human transformation. These explorations support the evolution of awareness and aim to harmonize scientific rigor with spiritual insight.
Netism encourages interdisciplinary inquiry, collaborative research projects, and the development of open-source knowledge that contributes to collective well-being and global awakening. All research must be conducted ethically, transparently, and in alignment with the 9 Points of Netism. Findings and breakthroughs shall be shared with the community through publications, gatherings, or digital platforms to empower learning and innovation.
Netism reserves the right to create research centers, sponsor fellowships, partner with aligned institutions, and support independent researchers who demonstrate integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to consciousness evolution.
ARTICLE VII: COMMUNITIES
Communities under Netism’s umbrella exercise free will as the highest law. Each community is encouraged to develop its own customs, traditions, legal frameworks, modes of governance, economic structures, and cultural expressions that attune to the overarching current and ethical foundation of Netism. Autonomy is not only respected but celebrated, recognizing that diversity of expression enriches the living organism that is the Netist body.
Communities shall be rooted in mutual respect, cooperation, and alignment with the 9 Points of Netism. These principles serve as the connective tissue between unique communal expressions and the larger organism of Netism as a whole. Communities are entrusted with creating safe, inclusive, and sovereign environments where individuals may thrive in their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
Netism shall provide support in the form of guidance, educational materials, structural templates, and, when appropriate, land or resource assistance to communities that demonstrate sincere alignment with its values. However, Netism shall not impose top-down authority over autonomous community affairs unless there is clear and repeated violation of its core principles.
Each community is encouraged to appoint its own leaders, create sacred space, build communal infrastructure, and experiment with regenerative practices that benefit both their members and the Earth. Transparent communication, ethical accountability, and collective decision-making are central expectations for every Netist-aligned community.
Netism recognizes the sacred role of community as both sanctuary and laboratory, a space for deep healing, transformation, connection, and innovation.
ARTICLE VIII: WORSHIP
Netism names no explicit deities and does not encourage worship in the traditional or hierarchical sense. The philosophy of Netism centers on individual sovereignty, collective evolution, and spiritual integrity. Members are welcomed and encouraged to integrate their own spiritual backgrounds, traditions, and symbols into their personal practice within the Netic framework, so long as these beliefs are not imposed upon others or treated as superior within the community.
Any individual who positions themselves as a figure to be worshipped or demands subservience from others stands in direct contradiction to Netism’s foundational principles. Such behavior is not compatible with Netism and will result in disassociation from the organization.
This section exists to protect the spiritual freedom and mutual respect of all members, ensuring that the Netist community remains an open, evolving, and non-dogmatic sanctuary for conscious living.
ARTICLE IX: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All creative, scholarly, philosophical, spiritual, scientific, artistic, or literary works produced under the auspices of Netism—whether by individuals, groups, or commissioned entities—shall be recognized as the collective intellectual property of Netism in perpetuity. This includes but is not limited to books, lectures, manuscripts, symbols, rituals, digital content, educational materials, visual arts, technological innovations, and community structures developed within or for the organization.
No individual member, officer, or external affiliate may claim exclusive ownership over any works produced in the name of or within the mission of Netism. Any such works are understood to be offerings to the collective body of Netism, contributed for the enrichment of the broader community, and protected under intellectual property law.
Use, adaptation, or publication of Netist works outside the organization must receive written consent from an authorized body or appointed council within Netism. All such usage must clearly credit the source and uphold the values and integrity of the teachings.
Intellectual property shall be stored, archived, and disseminated in a manner that ensures long-term access, preservation, and alignment with Netism’s spiritual and educational mission. This principle safeguards the teachings and ensures continuity across generations.
ARTICLE X: AMENDMENTS
Bylaws amendments require a two-thirds majority of the Board, ensuring continued alignment with Netism’s foundational principles.
ARTICLE XI: DISSOLUTION
Upon dissolution, remaining assets shall be distributed ethically according to Netism’s values and IRS regulations.
