Why We Need This
Not everything requires cash. Building materials, tools, seeds, equipment, printing services, software licenses, and professional services can often be secured through in-kind donations, corporate partnerships, and surplus programs. This role dramatically reduces the cost of everything we do.
What This Person Would Do
- Identify and approach businesses for in-kind donations (building materials, tools, seeds, equipment, printing, etc.)
- Build relationships with other nonprofits for resource sharing and collaboration
- Research and apply for surplus property programs (government, military, corporate)
- Coordinate donation drives for specific project needs
- Maintain a resource inventory and donor relationship list
Why This Matters
Philanthropy, one of the 9 Points, is not just about giving money — it is about the flow of resources where they are needed. When a business donates materials they would otherwise discard, when a professional donates an hour of expertise, when a community shares what it has — the Net strengthens. This role is the hands that weave those connections.
This is a volunteer position. Netism is a nonprofit spiritual organization and all roles are unpaid. Netism covers all expenses related to the role. We ask only for your time and alignment with the 9 Points of Netism.
