Echoforms
Definition
Lingering imprints left by a previous pattern, place, life, culture, or cycle. Echoforms are not persons or spirits in themselves; they are traces that can shape what comes next without deciding it.
Literal meaning
The cycles source says the Reflection Period leaves echoes: residual energies leave imprints that slowly dissolve, like a favored curve on a ripple of fabric. During Nullification, the past is erased but not entirely lost. Traces remain.
Esoteric meaning
Echoforms name the way influence can outlast its original form. A temple falls, but the dust remains. A family habit changes, but its pull may still be felt. A culture ends, but some of its wisdom, wounds, warnings, and gestures can reappear later in another form.
Allegorical meaning
A wave leaves a shape in wet sand. The wave is gone, but the next wave meets the mark it left behind.
Extended meaning
An Echoform is best understood as conditioning, not command. It may appear as an old family pattern, an atmosphere in a place, a cultural reflex, an unexplained affinity, or a recurring image that keeps returning across generations. The practitioner studies it to decide what should be honored, healed, released, or carried forward.

Usage
Use Echoforms when discussing remnants, recurring influences, inherited habits, places that feel marked by their history, or cycle transitions where the past has ended but still leaves traces.
Ritual usage
Land-clearing, remembrance, ancestor, and release rites may work with Echoforms by naming what remains, giving thanks where thanks are due, and releasing what no longer serves life, truth, or balance.
Comparative tradition
Many traditions have language for lingering impressions, ancestral traces, habits of place, or karmic tendencies. Netism uses Echoforms for the trace itself rather than for a separate spirit or agent.
Science correspondence
A practical bridge appears in ordinary inheritance: trauma patterns, family habits, cultural memory, built environments, and learned expectations can persist after their original cause has passed. Biology, psychology, and cultural studies offer different ways to study those effects, while the metaphysical use of Echoforms remains a Netist interpretation.
