Netic Decanal Astrology · Book One

The Netist Calendar

The year opens at the northward equinox and runs three hundred and sixty days: three seasons, twelve months of thirty, thirty-six decans of ten. Five days fall outside the wheel, six when the sun asks for a sixth. Nothing here drifts, because nothing here is fixed to a civil grid — the sun sets the anchor fresh each year.

Today

NE 1 | Peret | Zerū | Decan 15 | day 6

Wednesday, 12 August 2026 · day 145 of 365

Calendar address

Peret · Zerū · Decan 15

Day 6 of ten · day 26 of the month

15. Emergence Bring a sufficiently stable new pattern into visible relation.

Solar address

Veshtar · Star Gate 14

Sun at 139.592° tropical · 9.59° into the Gate

14. Germination Protect real development that has begun before it can support full exposure.

The two addresses differ today: the calendar stands at Decan 15 while the Sun stands in Star Gate 14. This is not an error. A ten-day period and a ten-degree arc are close but not equal — the mean Sun needs 10.1456 days to cross ten degrees — so the civil rhythm and the angular one separate through the year and the Days Outside the Wheel let the sun finish its circle.

365 days · 5 outside the wheel

The exact equinox instant and the civil day boundary are kept apart on purpose. A community may observe the true turn in its own zone while the calendar keeps one reproducible date.

NE 1 · the thirty-six decans

Each decan opens a ten-day period and carries the Star Gate of the same number. The drift column is the mean separation between the calendar angle and the mean Sun — educational only, since real solar motion is not uniform. A published almanac uses the ephemeris.

Akhet Reception and differentiation. Held potential opens a boundary, gathers force, separates its currents, turns intention into action, and ends in alignment.

What must be received, distinguished, and brought into a coherent first form?

1 Wepet

Incubation

Peret Emergence and relational growth. Seeding passes through rooting and reciprocity into boundary, commitment, and the weaving of the field.

How does a viable pattern grow without losing its boundary, purpose, or relation to the whole?

13 Zerū

Seeding

Bring a sufficiently stable new pattern into visible relation.

16 Ba

Rooting

150° cal · 147.85° sun -2.15°

24 Net

Weaving

230° cal · 226.70° sun -3.30°

Alter the relational field through a consented act whose consequences can be observed.

Shemu Consequence, transformation, and return. The pattern faces what its action produced, transforms what cannot continue, repairs what can be restored, and releases the completed form.

What has the cycle produced, what must be repaired, and what can be carried into the next beginning?

The Days Outside the Wheel

The regular wheel ends at 360 days. What follows belongs to no season, no month, and no decan. The Telling keeps the record. The Mending changes what can be changed. The Loosing limits what continues. The Stillness creates space. The Warping carries a rule forward. The sequence keeps return from becoming erasure.

This year they run from 15 Mar 2027 to 19 Mar 2027.

  1. 15 Mar 2027

    The Telling

Records the year without editing the record to protect pride.

Set down what the year actually held, including what went badly and what you would rather not enter. Nothing is corrected on this day; it is only told straight.

  2. 16 Mar 2027

    The Mending

Addresses an obligation that can still be corrected.

Repayment, an apology, replacing damaged property, changing a procedure, or asking for help. One real obligation met beats a list of intentions.

  3. 17 Mar 2027

    The Loosing

Ends a role, possession, or pattern that should not cross the threshold.

Often a written boundary rather than a dramatic severance. Name the thing, state that it ends, and stop feeding it.

  4. 18 Mar 2027

    The Stillness

Reduces unnecessary speech and identity performance.

Less talking, less explaining, less presenting a self. The day is not a vow and not a hardship; it is space cleared before anything new is stated.

  5. 19 Mar 2027

    The Warping

States the governing intention carried into the next Wepet.

One rule, said plainly, that will govern the coming year. The warp is the thread set on the loom before any weaving begins, and everything woven after runs on it.

The Truing is not kept this year. It appears only when successive equinox dates fall three hundred and sixty-six days apart, and it carries no thirty-seventh Gate — it exists to hold the anchor true.

These names are Netist. Book One calls the same five days Witness, Repair, Release, Silence and Renewal; three of those names already belong to sun-anchored observances in the festival year, and in some years the Day of Release and Return falls inside this very interval. The work of each day is unchanged — only the label differs, so the two layers can never be mistaken for one another.

The festival year — the ten observances, the standing gatherings, and the subscribable feeds — is kept at the calendar of gatherings. This page is the civil grid beneath it.
